Kathy Shanley, PhD, CAE, PCC, has been a C-suite executive for more than 30 years in the health policy and public relations fields. Her portfolio includes being an official member of the Forbes Coaches Council, authoring articles on improving employee engagement, effective business communications, and developing trusting behaviors in organizations. In addition, she has served as an offsite consultant developing strategic plans, creating and executing resource optimization studies, orienting and onboarding 501 (c)(3) and (c)(6) boards of directors, drafting government agency and nonprofit organization’s annual reports, and filing client’s articles of incorporation and annual reports with the secretary of state.
She is a certified association executive, an International Coach Federation credentialed professional coach, and earned her advanced certification in leadership and corporate coaching. She served on the Board of Directors of the American Association of Medical Society Executives. She is a member of the International Coach Federation and American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). In 2018, she earned a spot as one of ASAE’s Association CareerHQ’s cadre of accredited career coaches.
Kathy has been recognized for her accomplishments nationally. In 2012, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services honored her with the Administrator’s 2012 Special Citation Award for her leadership in the National Partnership to Improve Dementia Care in Nursing Homes. In 2023, the American Urological Association (AUA) awarded her a Presidential Citation for advancing public policy and advocacy as well as her role with the AUA Board of Directors’ Diversity and Inclusion Task Force.
